The Uzbek-Kazakh talks led to the singing of 13 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, including the Joint Declaration on Further Deepening of Strategic Partnership and Neighbourly Relations signed by Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Among the documents concerning parliaments, taxes, transport, defence, trade, and industry, most important are the Strategy for Economic Cooperation 2017-2-19, and the Interregional Cooperation Agreement.

Speaking at a press conference, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev said the talks were traditionally warm and the sides supported each other on all strategic issues.

They said the visit was historically important for the partnership and the documents will serve the interests of the people.
