A meeting under the "Happy Family" initiative was held in Frankfurt with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city, reports Dunyо IA correspondent.
Since 2023, the "Happy Family" initiative, organized by Uzbek nationals residing in Germany, has been held regularly with the aim of promoting Uzbek national values and preserving family traditions among younger generations. The project serves as a platform to strengthen cultural identity, foster intergenerational dialogue, and encourage the continuation of cherished family customs within the diaspora community.
The recent "Happy Family" event brought together Uzbek nationals residing in Germany and the Czech Republic, alongside leaders of German-Uzbek cultural associations, as well as representatives from the business and civil society sectors.
At the "Happy Family" gathering in Frankfurt am Main, Uzbekistan’s Consul General, Mironshoh Raupov, addressed attendees, emphasizing the rich historical heritage and enduring spiritual values of the Uzbek people. He also highlighted the significant socio-political transformations currently underway in Uzbekistan, underscoring the country’s ongoing efforts to strengthen social cohesion and promote cultural identity both domestically and among its diaspora communities.
The gathering featured a cultural and educational program organized around traditional Uzbek customs and practices, leaving a strong impression on participants. Feedback from attendees highlighted the event’s role in uniting Uzbek youth around their national values, providing a platform to showcase their talents, and expanding opportunities for dialogue and engagement within the diaspora community.
The discussions also covered consular, legal, and social issues aimed at safeguarding the rights, freedoms, and lawful interests of Uzbeks residing in Germany. The session provided a platform for addressing practical concerns and reinforcing support mechanisms for the diaspora community.
The founders of the "Happy Family" initiative — Lobar Boboeva, Habiba Hamdam, and Dilnoza Ahmedova — provided an overview of the project’s successful activities over the past year in Germany. They expressed their gratitude to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan for its ongoing support to the Uzbek community and for strengthening ties with compatriots residing in the country.
