Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan visited the Podkarpackie voivodeship in Poland, where they held productive meetings and participated in various events, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, a meeting took place with Karol Ożóg, Deputy Marshal of the Podkarpackie voivodeship, who expressed special gratitude to the Embassy of Uzbekistan for its practical support in organizing a visit to Uzbekistan by his delegation in June this year. The meeting also highlighted the successful participation of Polish businessmen in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, as well as productive meetings with the khokim of Surkhandarya region, at the Termez International Trade Center, and with leadership of Uzbek universities.
An agreement was reached to send another business mission from Podkarpackie voivodeship to Surkhandarya region in February–March 2026.
In addition, in Rzeszów, a business forum “Do Business in Uzbekistan” was organized in cooperation with the Embassy and the Marshal’s Office of Podkarpackie voivodeship.
The event brought together Deputy Marshal Karol Ożóg, representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the Regional Development Agency, the Investor and Exporter Service Center, the Regional Chamber of Commerce, and executives from well-known companies including Fireflies, Customs Clearance Services Poland, and Poplonski Trading Company.
During B2B and G2B negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on mutually beneficial projects in priority sectors, including green economy transition, pharmaceuticals, aviation, construction, transport and logistics, agriculture, food processing, textile and chemical industries, geology, tourism, labor migration, digital technologies, AI, and education.
Executives from Fireflies, Customs Clearance Services Poland, Poplonski Trading Company, LN, Mieleckie Zakłady Lotnicze, ASMG, and OCG expressed strong interest in opening stores in the Termez International Trade Center Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Additionally, the company 8FOUNDRY plans to organize business missions to Uzbekistan to conduct negotiations in the fields of telecommunications, IT, cybersecurity, smart city solutions, space technologies, dual-use technologies, industrial equipment, and tools, among others.
