Uzbekistan celebrates National Day at Expo 2025 in Osaka

Yesterday, in Osaka, Japan, the National Day of Uzbekistan was held as part of Expo 2025, reports Dunyo IA correspondent citing the telegram-channel of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.

"The opening ceremony was attended by Hisayuki Fujii, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Gayane Umerova, head of Uzbekistan’s delegation and chairperson of Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, - the statement says. - The guests were presented with a concert program featuring Fergana, Bukhara Lazgi and other dances, as well as national music. The atmosphere of the holiday was created by the sounds of karnays and surnays, vocal ensembles, and instrumental groups.

The stage was graced by performances from People’s Artist of Karakalpakstan Ziyoda Madrahimova, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Nodira Pirmatova, and the "Bahor" State Dance Ensemble named after Mukarram Turgunbayeva, which presented a rich repertoire of Uzbek choreography".

The National Day of Uzbekistan culminated with a colorful procession at Expo 2025. Dozens of artists, karnai and surnai performers, doira players and dancers took part in it.
