Uzbekistan delegation visits United States

Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov will attend a number of events and meetings aimed at developing bilateral trade, economic, financial and investment relations during the working visit to the United States, on July 16-23, 2019.

The delegation includes heads of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and the Capital Market Development Agency of Uzbekistan, more than 20 leading specialists of Uzbektelecom JSC, Uzpromstroybank JSCB, Infinbank JSCB, Toshkent RSE, Uzavtosanoat JSC, Central depositary SE, Uzkimyosanoat JSC, Asaka JSCB, UZEX JSC, as well as large private joint-stock companies of the country.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, the purpose of the visit to the United States of representatives of the economic bloc of the Government of Uzbekistan is to negotiate with the leadership of several ministries and agencies of the U.S. administration, the World Bank Group, to establish contacts with large corporations and companies, hedge funds, investment banks and financial institutions, discuss with them the prospects for participation of the American business in privatization and modernization programs of state enterprises of the country.

A number of documents are expected to be signed during the visit.
