Uzbekistan, Germany strengthen collaboration

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Tilo Klinner.

The parties discussed issues of further development of relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation, development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The Ambassador of Germany noted that the important cardinal transformations carried out in Uzbekistan contribute to the achievement of concrete results, the reform of the legal sphere and strengthening civil society institutions, and the reforms are aimed at creating a favorable investment environment, ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of foreign investors and partners.

The parties stressed the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation. Proposals for cooperation, exchange of experience, organization of regular visits of parliamentary delegations of various levels were voiced. The parliaments of Uzbekistan and Germany expressed their readiness to intensify cooperation between the committees.
