Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun published an article devoted to the development of football in our country.
Its author - well-known sports journalist Hitoki Nakagawa, who notes that Uzbekistan pays great attention to the development and promotion of sports. It is reported that as early as 1994 - just three years after independence - the national football team of Uzbekistan won the Asian Games in Hiroshima.
"The country has created an effective system of training of players from an early age, - the journalist writes. - Activities of children and youth school under soccer club "Bunyodkor", which was founded in 2007, deserve special attention. This institution acts on the territory of the same name from the stadium area of 56 hectares, which is comparable in size to the Tokyo Dome stadium in the capital of Japan.
