"UZBEKISTAN HAS GREAT POTENTIAL IN THE TOURISM SECTOR"

As previously reported, the Uzbek delegation participated in the international tourism exhibition JATA Tourism EXPO Japan 2015 in Tokyo. Reporter of Jahon Information Agency interviewed some of the visitors to our stand at the event.

Jun Nanazava, General manager of Department for Central Asia and Caucasus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan:

— At present, the Sino-Uzbek relations are developing dynamically in all spheres. Important in building relations between the two countries have cultural and humanitarian dialogue and tourist exchange.

Reigning in Uzbekistan peace and tranquility, modern hotels, high level of service attract large number of tourists from Japan.

Over the past two years, many times I have visited your country. I hit the kindness and hospitality of the Uzbek people.

Seichi Nakamura, Director of the Japan Tourism Association:

— The territory of modern Uzbekistan is one of the oldest centers of world civilization. The country has a large number of objects of cultural heritage, unique monuments of history and ancient architecture.

Your country has great potential in tourism. Travelers visited the republic are returning to Japan with unforgettable impressions and warm reviews.

I am sure that the Uzbek delegation participated in the international exhibition will contribute to the implementation of new projects, as well as increasing numbers of tourists to the country.

Chie Shibuya, visitor to the stand of Uzbekistan:

— The exhibition, consisting of the national fabric and attributes, attracts many participants. The detailed information about the rich spiritual and cultural heritage and beautiful nature of Uzbekistan excited great interest.

Especially I am admired by pictures of such ancient cities of your country as Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent, Khiva, Shakhrisabz.

I intend to visit Uzbekistan in the near future in order to closer familiarize with its ancient culture and tourist attractions.
