“UZBEKISTAN HAS SHOWN DYNAMIC GROWTH OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INDICATORS”

Report of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in 2015 and the most important priorities of economic program for 2016, aroused great interest among the representatives of the Azerbaijani expert community.

Elchin Huseynov, deputy director general of Trend International News Agency in an interview with Jahon Information Agency shared his opinion on the results of large-scale reforms, implemented in our country in the past few years,.

— First of all I would like to note that Uzbekistan demonstrates active growth of socio-economic indicators despite the ongoing global financial crisis.

For the past eight years, the country’s GDP is steadily increasing, the state budget is executed with a surplus, and the balance of foreign trade turnover has a positive indicator. This once again demonstrates the timeliness of the head of your government set targets for reforming the republic’s economy, democratization and modernization of the country.

In addition, according to the World Economic Forum of Uzbekistan conducted a necessary and effective work in 2014-2015, which gives reason to anticipate continued growth in the coming years.

A positive factor is the fact that special attention is paid to social issues, education, health, job creation, food security. It will undoubtedly contribute to increase household income, improve the level and quality of life and welfare of the citizens of Uzbekistan. I think that the achievement of these results will be the main success of the country in celebrating of the 25th anniversary of its independence.
