The State Committee of Uzbekistan for tourism development informs that in the framework of the Program of priority measures for the development of tourism in 2018-2019, the decision of the head of state amended the procedure for issuing tourist visas.
In particular, the new presidential decree provides the following:
first, the introduction of a single tourist visa for individual foreign citizens granted for a period of 30 days;
second, cutting the clearance cost for the entry tourist visa from $60 to $40;
third, reducing the lower threshold for group tourist visas from 10 to 5 persons.
The adopted resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will ensure:
— the minimization of formalities and reduction of costs of potential tourists related to the registration of tourist visa;
— the intensification of the inflow of foreign tourists, including by increasing the number of group tourists in small groups;
— extending their stay on the territory of the Republic due to the introduction of a single tourist visa for a period of 1 (one) month.
