Uzbekistan, Iran Presidents discuss promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation

Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi within the framework of the events of the next Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, in Ashgabat, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, issues of further development of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries were discussed.

The implementation of new cooperation projects in industry, the effective use of the transit potential of the two states and the promotion of cultural-humanitarian exchange programs, the importance of activating institutional mechanisms of cooperation was emphasized to promote increasing the volume of bilateral trade.

The Leaders of Uzbekistan and Iran also paid special attention to the issues on the regional agenda in the light of the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as the continuation of a close dialogue within international organizations.
