UZBEKISTAN IS THE SECOND AMONG THE MOST QUICKLY DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Uzbekistan is listed as second among the states with the expected fastest growing economy in 2017. Information on this is available on the portal of the World Economic Forum on the basis of the latest World Bank publication "Global Economic Perspectives".

According to the rating, in the current year Uzbekistan’s GDP growth is forecasted at 7.6%.

This year, in addition to Uzbekistan, Ethiopia (1-place) and Nepal (3-place) entered the three countries with fast-developing economy. According to the forecasts, the GDP of the African country this year may increase by 8.3%, while the growth of the world economy will be 2.7%.

The top ten fast-growing countries included India, Tanzania, Djibouti, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and the Philippines. At the same time, the World Economic Forum notes that many countries with an emerging market economy have a high level of public debt.
