Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan Presidents hold a telephone conversation

On December 6, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, prosperity, great success, peace, and prosperity to the fraternal Kyrgyz people.

During the conversation, current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, and the schedule of upcoming events was considered.

The leaders noted with particular satisfaction the current high dynamics of development of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan relations based on strong friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

Active contacts and fruitful exchanges continue at different levels. Trade volumes are growing. Cooperation projects are being implemented in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture, and other industries.

Eleven promising business projects were financed as part of the activities of the joint Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan Fund.

Interregional and cultural-humanitarian interaction is enhancing.

The heads of state also exchanged views on issues of regional cooperation and noted the importance of accelerating infrastructure projects.
