UZBEKISTAN NATIONAL TEAM WON 31 MEDALS

The IX Asian Swimming Championship was held in Tashkent.

Member of the national team of our country Khurshidjon Tursunov outstripped all competitors in the freestyle at a distance of 50 meters and won the Asian championship. Natalia Kritinina and Alena Vasilyeva won bronze medals in the women’s competition at this distance. Our team took the first place in the men’s relay at this distance.

Artem Kozlyuk won a silver medal in swimming butterfly stroke at a distance of 200 meters, Odilbek Yusupov and Maftunabonu Tukhtasinova took the third place in backstroke swimming at a distance of 100 meters.

At the Asian Swimming Championship, Uzbekistan national team won 13 gold, 7 silver and 11 bronze medals – a total of 31 medals and took the second place in the team event.

On the next day of the Asian Swimming Championship, the women’s team of Uzbekistan played for a draw – 7:7 – with the team of Kazakhstan.
