UZBEKISTAN ON PAGES OF KUWAIT TIMES

The achievements of our country over the years of sovereign development, friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, as well as a rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Uzbek people is reflected in an article published in the regular issue of the weekly newspaper Kuwait Times.

It notes that since the first days of independence, country has chosen its own path of development - the path of major reforms aimed at building of democratic state with a socially oriented market economy and a strong civil society.

Commends carried out in our country, structural reforms aimed at diversifying the industry, the creation of high-tech manufacturing industries, the widespread introduction of information and communication technologies and increase the competitiveness of the national economy.

It is emphasized that due to these measures ensured high sustainable growth rate and macroeconomic stability of the economy, increasing employment and living standards.

Special attention is given to the history and development of the Uzbek-Kuwaiti cooperation.

— In 2014, the two countries celebrated the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. During this period, political dialogue and parliamentary cooperation, partnership in trade, economic, financial, scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres developed actively, as well as in the field of sport, preservation and restoration of monuments of architecture, - the edition informs.

In this context, it details the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of our country, architectural monuments and sights of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, and great contribution of Uzbek philosophers, scientists and thinkers in the development of world civilization.
