Uzbekistan's Ambassador meets with Latvia's Transport Minister

On December 9, 2019, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov met with the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Latvia Tālis Linkaits, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The sides exchanged views on prospects for development of Uzbekistan – Latvia cooperation in transportation.

It was noted that Latvia considers Uzbekistan as a key economic partner in Central Asia and advocates further development of cooperation in aviation, rail and road logistics, as well as transport support of tourist flows in Central Asian direction.

The parties positively assessed the results of the meeting of Mixed Commission on International Road Transport held in Tashkent in October 2019.

Plans for the future contacts within the framework of activities of Uzbekistan – Latvia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation and relations between the relevant agencies of the two countries were also discussed at the meeting.
