UZBEKISTAN’S ECONOMIC AND TOURIST POTENTIAL HAS BEEN PRESENTED IN GERMANY

The presentation of economic and tourist potential of Uzbekistan was held in the German city of Hamburg. The event was attended by representatives of public, academic, business circles of Germany, as well as the media.

The participants were informed about the fulfillment of the structural reforms, economy’s modernization and diversification of industry in the Republic.

In this context, the audience’s attention was drawn to the results of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the IX International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange and the second meeting of German-Uzbek Business Council.

In addition, information about huge tourist potential of Uzbekistan, undertaken measures on development of tourist infrastructure, hotel business, transport and service sectors in the Republic was provided.

The great interest of visitors was caused by the stand on which displayed various samples of decorative and applied art, as well as informational materials about the achievements of our country during the years of independence, the results of large-scale political and socio-economic reforms, investment potential and tourist sights of Uzbekistan.

A documentary film dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage and modern development of our country was shown to the event’s participants.

Numerous guests also had the opportunity to taste Uzbek national cuisine’s dishes.

Some of the participants have shared their impressions about Uzbekistan and its achievements with the correspondent of IA “Jahon” during the event.

In particular, the Director of German Company APA-KANDT Antonius Wehrle has drawn his attention to the economic potential of Uzbekistan:

— Our company specializes in manufacturing and supplying of engineering products, pulp and paper industry. We have been working successfully in the international market for over 40 years, including Uzbekistan.

The efforts of Uzbekistan’s authority, aimed at diversification and modernization of country’s economy, are commendable. The country annually hosts a number of international economic symposiums, fairs and other major events, which bring together representatives of business circles from different countries, including Germany.

We are pleased that Uzbekistan considers Germany as one of the most important trade and economic partners and creates favorable conditions for attraction of direct German investments in country’s economy with a special emphasis on know-how and advanced technology with the brand “Made in Germany”.

The results International Investment Forum, the International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange, as well as the meeting of the German-Uzbek Business Council, held recently in the capital of Uzbekistan, have demonstrated foreign participants’ interest in further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan. In turn, we also hope to continue our cooperation with Uzbek partners.
