UZBEKISTAN'S INDEPENDENCE DAY HAS BEEN CELEBRATED IN MOSCOW

The Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Russia hosted a solemn event dedicated to the 24 anniversary of the state independence of our country. attended heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of official, political, expert-analytical and business circles of Russia.

With a welcoming speech on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of the Third Department of the CIS countries Alexander Sternik, who noted that over the years of Russian-Uzbek cooperation has strengthened consistently and has been based on equality, mutual interest and taking into account each other’s interests. In particular, he praised the level of bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

Reporter of Jahon Information Agency spoke with some participants of the event, who praised the achievements of our country’s independence and expressed their best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan.

Lithuanian Ambassador to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow, Motuzas Remigijus:

— Uzbekistan - modern and forward-looking independent state, has a developed infrastructure, high-tech manufacturing, enormous human and natural potentials.

— Relations between our countries are dynamic. For us, your country is an important partner in Central Asia. Especially we are interested in deepening economic and trade cooperation, the development of mutually beneficial relations in the fields of industrial engineering, processing of agricultural products and others.

It should also be noted the proximity of the two countries on the international agenda. For example, Uzbekistan carried out a policy to preserve peace, stability and security in the region is highly commendable.
