UZBEKISTAN WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF JAPANESE INVESTORS TO DEVELOP CITIES’ HIGH-TECH INFRASTRUCTURE

Tashkent hosted Uzbek-Japanese conference on "High-tech infrastructure of the city". Japanese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of this country K.Suzuki took part in it.

At the event, the sides noted that the accelerated and balanced development of any state, radically increasing the living standards of the population, development of tourism, together with other areas of the special place occupies the improvement of urban infrastructure.

Participants emphasized that Uzbekistan over years of independence carried out extensive measures to modernize the city. In particular, as a result of the implementation of programs for the integrated development of our cities face completely transformed. If there is organic combination of traditional oriental architecture of ancient and modern architecture, they become even more beautiful, on the basis of unique projects built office buildings, magnificent buildings, comfortable houses, wide streets, straight roads and bridges, modern, well-equipped markets.

The unique shape of our cities and comfortable, modern infrastructure attracted the attention of the international community. According to the assessment of the authoritative British magazine The Economist, the capital of our Motherland - Tashkent on livability and comfort of living took 58th place among 140 countries in the world ranking, and has been included in a number of major cities liveable. This is a clear example of large-scale reforms implemented in our country in order to improve urban infrastructure.

Japanese representatives praised successive reforms of the development of urban infrastructure, high potential industrial development. They noted that these measures contribute to the efficiency of industrial and productive capacity, to further improve the investment climate for foreign investors, and to strengthen international economic cooperation of Uzbekistan.

In an interview with Jahon information agency head of the Japanese delegation, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Keysuke Suzuki stated that Uzbekistan is leading country in Central Asia.

— For Japan, the development of cooperation with your country is important - he said. - I was impressed by the unique look of Tashkent. I was particularly impressed that Tashkent metro is a model of safe, convenient and high-quality service, the design of metro stations is incomparable. At the conference, companies such as "Itochu", "Tecun Thorens", "Mitsubishi", "Toyota Tsusho", "Nippon Koei", "Marubeni", "Panasonic", "Mitsui", announced plans to participate in the modernization urban infrastructure in Uzbekistan through the introduction of modern technology in its development.
