We all bow to our veterans, participants of the Second World War, who selflessly on the battlefields without sparing the life and forces fought against fascism in the name of peace and tranquility of generations.
Adopted on February 19 the presidential Decree "On awarding anniversary medals "Ikkinchi Jahon urushidagi g’alabaning 70 yilligi" to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan - veterans of war and labor front of 1941-1945" and the presidential Decree "On the promotion of the participants in the war of 1941-1945" adopted on March 6 of this year, testifies the fact of a deep respect, care and attention to participants of those events in our country.
According to the presidential decree, the Ministry of the Interior and its divisions are carrying out preparation work for the celebration of May 9 - Day of Remembrance and Honor. Ministry officials visit the surviving veterans-participants of the war and the disabled.
In particular, The sports complex "Jar" of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a ceremony to which veterans-participants of the war consisting on the account in the central apparatus of the Ministry, Tashkent city and Tashkent region were invited. The Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Ahmedbaev gave a welcoming speech and congratulations to all participants on the Memory and Honor Day. Then, according to the Decree of the Head of State in a solemn ceremony he awarded the participants of the Second World War commemorative medals.
"I’m a very humble member of the war; I am a daughter of the regiment, at the age of 13 I got to the front. I was a nurse and had the rank of soldier. I honestly fulfilled my duty. It was difficult, scary, but we survived and together with you all celebrate the victory. Memorial Day is great, because the memory is the most poignant concept of the human soul. This day we remember those who remained on the battlefield, who lived a life with dignity and was a participant in peace-building, who brings up great-grandchildren.", - says participant in the war of 1941-1945 Valentina Myasnikova.
"The leadership of the Ministry of Interior and the Council of Veterans of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan pays great attention to veterans, those veterans who live and are among us. Attention is devoted to social security, various activities are organized for young people to understand that our veterans have made a great contribution in the development of independence and invested great effort in this noble case."- said the first deputy chairman of the Board of Veterans MIA of the Republic of Uzbekistan Utkir Djuraev.
Note that cultural program diversified this ceremony. After the official part, artists and Song and Dance Ensemble of the ministry performed a concert for the participants of the event.
