On the radio channel "Voice of Turkey" the Turkish state broadcasting company TRT broadcast was transmitted, dedicated to Uzbekistan. It was attended by director and host of "International Review" Suleyman Erdal and director of the Center for International Security Studies (USGAM) professor M.S.Erol.
During the 40-minute broadcast to listeners provides detailed information on the achievements of Uzbekistan for years of independence in the implementation of democratic reforms, as well as in the fields of economy, education and civil society.
Turkish expert noted that the parliamentary and presidential elections in Russia were held in conditions of stability, openness and fairness.
In particular, it stressed that gradually implemented reforms in the country based on its actual capabilities and potential, where the foundation is put the principle of social justice, human interests and well-being of society. Since independence in the country has developed the "Uzbek model" of development, according to which the course on modernization and economic diversification and industrialization with the introduction of high technologies.
As part of the reforms to the development of democracy and civil society broadened the role of parliament, political parties and non-governmental organizations in government.
The developed system of social support for elder people, women and children, of course, is an indicator of the efficiency of the state, its maturity and independence.
Thus, a feature of the management system of Uzbekistan is the active integration of women in the political life of the country, their influence on political decision-making. Unique is the Institute of Public Management "Mahalla". The country has developed and successfully operated 10 thousand NGOs.
Due to profound changes sharply increased political activity of citizens of the country in the political, legal and electoral systems to ensure freedom of speech and expression, guaranteeing the protection of human rights and development of civil society. In addition, over the years of independence Uzbekistan has established a parliamentary system and abolished the death penalty. It attaches great importance to environmental protection. To this end, the Parliament allocated 15 seats for the environmental movement.
In this context, M.Erol stressed that the deep reforms undertaken in the politico-legal system of the country, to achieve the Millennium Development Goals in Uzbekistan, aimed primarily at the protection of human rights, women and children are recognized by international experts of the UN, the ILO and other authoritative organizations. "This means that Uzbekistan will surely continue reforms to build a democratic society", - concluded the Turkish expert said.
