From 25 to 30 May 2015 by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UNICEF conducted "Week of a healthy baby".
According to the Ministry, within the framework of the week across the country held the next 24th round of vitamin A supplementation to more than 2.6 million children aged from 6 months to 5 years.
The main goal of this event - the protection of children’s health, increasing immune status, reduction of vitamin A deficiency.
Micronutrient deficiency is the cause of 80% of all human diseases. In view of threatening and extremely negative consequences for human life focuses on the prevention of deficiency of micronutrients such as iron, iodine and vitamin A.
Vitaminization is free of charge at all health facilities at the place of residence.
