WINGED PROSPECTS

Tashkent hosted a working meeting of the executives of the National Airline of Uzbekistan with the Boeing Regional Marketing Director for Europe, Central Asia, Japan and Oceania, Dan Nevill.

An initiative of American company, the meeting was aimed at introducing the national airline to an advertising and marketing campaign ahead of the delivery of two Boeing-787-8 Dreamliners this September.

The American partners came up with proposals to work together on the development of a marketing plan, a PR campaign, production of promotional videos and posters, as well as information materials to be used during presentations of the new aircraft.

As noted by the participants, Uzbekistan Airways is Central Asia’s first carrier to put ultra-modern long-haul aircraft Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner into operation, and the CIS’s second after the AzAl Azerbaijan Airlines.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all the issues discussed.
