In Tashkent the Republican show-festival of young opera singers "Yoshlik bahori" ("Spring of Youth") has started, news agency Uzbekistan Today reports.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports together with "Kamolot".
The main aim of the contest - to identify, promote and support young opera singers, as well as promotion of national and world cultural heritage among youth, creating conditions for the realization of its creative potential.
During the 4 days at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan rehearsals and qualifying auditions will be held, which will be attended by young talents from all regions of the country between the ages of 18 to 32 years old. Concert of the finalists will take place on May 14 in the large hall of the Conservatory, and the next day the participants will perform at Gala concert with the Youth Symphony Orchestra on the stage of the Palace of the International Forum of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the first time the festival was held in this format last year, revealing a lot of talents. Many of them over the past year have won the prestigious international festival competitions.
